What’s Ahead, 2016 Edition

New Stuff:

WatchWeres Inc #1: The Wolf Fount (sometime in January)

Discord Jones #7: I’m thinking June

Discord Jones #8: Probably November or December

Other releases: I’m hoping so!

Old Stuff:

No matter how careful we are, typos and other errors evade our grasp. I’ve hunted them down through the first 3 Discord books (probably still missed some, because they’re sneaky bastards and I honestly think they breed), and will do the same for the other 3. I’m re-uploading each as I finish my hunt, and once all six are cleared for take off, I’ll get the paperbacks taken care of too, including finally releasing #6 as a paperback.

Hope to have that finished by the end of January, if not sooner. I’m sorry about the wait on #6’s paperback, but I want to be as certain as possible it’s typo free.

The Goals:

I’m taking a few steps back on my usual lofty word count goals. I seldom reach them, and that’s gotten discouraging over the past few years.

For 2016, my goals are to write at least 22 days of every month, and at least 2,000 words each of those days. More is good, but I’ve also learned that when I go too far over the 6k mark with new wordage, my brain refuses to cooperate for 3-5 days afterward. It’s a haphazard way of getting writing done, and I don’t like it. I have a LOT of unfinished writing projects that need to be finished.

I’m also going to get at least that one new series started. First book is nearly finished! 🙂

2015’s Results:

I dialed back on my word count goal for the year, and really didn’t think I’d meet the new goal. Color me surprised, because I not only met it, but beat it by a bit.

My dialed back goal was 317,960 words. I hit 325, 230 words for the year. 🙂

Once again, my publishing goals weren’t reached. I wanted to release at least 4 new books. I managed 2, both for the Discord Jones series. :/

Even so, I’m looking forward to 2016 and aiming to meet my new goals.

Happy New Year to you all, and thanks so much for your continued support! 🙂
